The liberation of bubble, 2022
We are all exposed to and have lived with various stereotypes throughout history. For several reasons, these offensive labels continue to be used and haven't changed much over time. The bubbles in the river are repre sentative of the stereotypes we have. They are often framed in negative thoughts. Bubbles are made easily an d are common in nature. Foam in the river is caused when the surface tension of water is decreased and air i s mixed into the water. Organic materials from naturally decaying plants and animals can reduce the surface t ension of water, and when the wind blows across it, or waves wash against the shore, bubbles are produced. I t can occur over large areas and accumulate in large amounts, especially on windward shores, in coves and e ddies. Since the Industrial Revolution, stories on pollution are often in the news. It is true that these kinds of man-made chemical waste bubbles floating in the river are toxic. However, they are different from the bubble s that exist in nature made by the movements and breath of shrimp, snails, frogs and whales, the wind and the sea.
